My favorite project would definitely have to be Bridged Together. That was the first short film I got to produce, and it was a transformative experience for me. I gained so much knowledge and hands-on experience, but what really stood out was being immersed in Anawan’s environment and seeing people of color not just in front of the camera, but behind it too. It was mind-blowing to be part of a project that truly reflected our diverse stories and talents. The film itself covers a young girl who discovers that her lineage on her father’s side has the ability to astral project, and she learns that her own powers have evolved into full-blown teleportation. It was a powerful story to tell and a major milestone for me.
